White Cat Tights from Brave Store

This is my second review from Brave Store, and my first experience was great (See: Skeleton Hand Clips). The product was quality, it arrived quickly, and the store's support was friendly and efficient. I was very excited when they let me review another item! After a long time browsing the store (it was tough to pick, there's so many great items available) I settled on these tights!

Not long after they sent the message telling me they were shipped out, I got this package in the mail! They even come in this cute packaging!

The material was soft the white part was thicker than the sheer. When I wear nylons I'm always worried they'll rip at the toes where they get worn down, but the white part covers the toes so I'm much less worried about them breaking!

The only problem I had while getting them on was that the ears and tail on the beige nylon part stretched a little. I was a bit nervous they'd peel off, but they were fine in the end and everything stayed on!

They're absolutely adorable and I can't wait to try them with other outfits as well!

Overall they're quite nice quality! If you plan to wash them I'd probably do it by hand so you don't risk peeling off the ears and tail. They should stay on fine by themselves other than that, and I'm hoping to get a lot of use out of these. Once again, I'm impressed with the lovely customer service and fast delivery. I'd definitely recommend shopping here!

IMPORTANT:

I would not recommend these specific tights to anyone a size larger than me. My height is about 173cm which is the max size for these and if you have larger thighs than I do I can't tell how well they'd fit. Buy at your own risk!

Skeleton Hand Clip from Brave Store

Review below!!

My first item from Brave Store arrived the other day and I was very happy with what I got! The delivery was very fast and I was relieved that the package was small enough that the postman slipped it through the mail box and I didn’t have to go to the post office to claim it (that happens too often and it’s such a waste of time ugh).

The package came with two clips. They were a good size, not overly large which can look tacky. And the actual clip part seemed to be fairly strong and secure so I didn’t have to worry about them breaking off. They also held on really well!

Not only are they good quality, but I find them to be really versatile as well. I can dress male of female and still use them! They work as a hair clip, both decoration and to actually hold your hair back, as a replacement for a tie, or a brooch, and you can put it on a chain and wear it like a necklace… there’s lots of options and that’s what I love about this item!

This experience has definitely sold me on this store. I’ve been browsing their products for a while now and I always wondered about their quality, but if this is anything to go by, I’d say that Brave Store definitely lives up to their reputation! Their customer service was excellent and friendly, the product was quality and well priced… I’d recommend this store for sure. I’m already looking at other products I’m thinking of buying! So check them out!

EOS New Adult Pink Lenses from Pinky Paradise

Review below!!

So I had to put this off for a few days because I was busy with a convention and since con prep took up most of my time, I didn’t want to so a quick, lazy review. I’m a few days late but I think it was worth waiting.

With that being said, let’s get to the review! So these ones came in the mail with my green ones, but they’re a completely different brand, one I’ve never tried before. I was excited to try these since my other pink contacts, though they work for some cosplays, didn’t really suit my Madoka and I’ve been searching for a pair that work better.

A pretty nice colour on their own. I was worried that they might not hold up against the green in my eyes, but they did well! They’re very opaque which I like for unnatural coloured eyes.

I need to experiment more with my makeup for these contacts. I want to really bring them out and I think they’d work with stronger makeup.

The colour worked really well for this character. The previous pink contacts I’ve tried were either too dark pink or too red toned. Though this colour was better, the design does have a solid black line around the edge which I wasn’t a huge fan of. I think a softer, more natural border looks better. And I also took off a point for comfort because although they weren’t uncomfortable, they weren’t the best I’ve ever worn. Overall I really liked them and would definitely recommend them for Madoka and other light pink-eyed characters, or even for casual wear!

HOME FOR THE WEEKEND

★ NYC SWEATER !  ★

This was my first time reviewing clothing and I’ve got to say, I was not disappointed. This sweater has got to be one of my favourite items and it goes with pretty much everything!

First off I have to thank Andie who is such a sweatheart and was probably just as excited about working with me as I was with her! She was always quick to reply to my emails and kept me updated constantly and it was great. She’s so dedicated to this store and it really shows!

The delivery was super quick, only a few days after Andie messaged me that she’d sent it did it arrive to my “second home” in Washington state. And it came in a lovely pink package too!

I had to laugh when I opened it up to see this sweater. I really couldn’t have been more perfect with the “wolves” written on the sleeves. I must say, that was a very cute surprise. There was a stray thread that I had to cut off but other than that it was in perfect condition! And as someone who actually sews clothing, I can say that it was very nice quality and well made.

When I first tried it on I was a bit worried it wouldn’t fit because it seemed pretty small, but i threw it on anyways. It fit quite snug, but I actually like it that way. It was tight put flattering and god, was it soft. I sort of fell in love with it, to be honest. It’s a great quality item and it’s ridiculously comfortable.

I usually fit men’s medium or small sizes, women’s medium, and this sweater just fit me. The fabric feels so nice against my skin and it’s cozy and warm and I’m really wishing that it would be cool and rainy here. The weather is so warm and sunny right now and I’m dying to wear this out. Seriously, what happened to the infamous Vancouver weather?  Either way, I’m looking forward to wearing this more.

I’m so happy with this sweater. I would highly recommend checking out this, and the rest of the great items on hftw! There’s tons of great merch to buy and if I could afford it, I’d probably buy everything! Unfortunately I’m a cosplayer and that means most of my budget goes to cosplay, but I’m definitely going to put aside some extra cash to get a few more things from this shop!

Venus Eye Green Lenses from Pinky Paradise

Review below!!

My lenses from Pinky Paradise came today! They were wrapped nicely and even came with some very cute animal shaped contact cases. I got two lenses from them, a pink pair, and a green pair which this review is for!

And here’s what came! They actually look more vibrant than in the picture on the website.

Even though my eyes are green, I picked green lenses. My eyes are a nice colour but they aren’t quite strong enough green for me and tend to change in different lighting. So when it comes to cosplaying green-eyed characters, I really prefer having contacts.

These definitely did the trick. They made my eyes look bigger and the colour more intense. Since my eyes are naturally greenish, they blended in perfectly and look very natural on me.

I gave them a pretty high score but they lost a few point because they weren’t quite as comfortable as other contacts I’ve worn. Colour was great and quality was fairly good as well. It was my first time trying Venus brand and I’d like to try more from them in other colours!
