SheInside Review

(wearing the denim hoodie from sheinside and egg tee from syndrome store)

I've put it off for a while but I'm finally getting around to my SheInside Review. I got a bit of a haul this time around and wanted to take enough time to get nice pictures of them all. I was given 3 items, they're listed below:

First off I'm gonna start with the pants. I chose them because I really don't own enough bottoms and they looked like they could go with a lot of outfits. I got these ones in medium. The sizing is as follows:
They were a bit tighter on then I'd expected but I still really liked the way they looked. I don't think they're meant to be baggy anyways, though I think they'd look good either way and if that's the style you prefer you could easily just order a size up.

The second item is the shirt I'm wearing in that pic. The popular Explicit Content shirt. I've probably got the most use out of this item so far and it is one of my new favourite wardrobe pieces. I got this in medium as well. It's a really cool shirt although it can be tough to pull off. Since it's a crop top, the way it sits around the waist can really exentuate your hips, so if you're looking for something to hide your curves this isn't it. Also take into account your height/length of your torso. On shorter people, it can look more slimming since the bottom hem sits lower than the waist. I'm 5'7"-5'8"ish so it's a little higher on me.

Here are the measurements, etc.:

As you can see I've worn it plenty of times in the short time I've had this item. It makes me look so hardcore this shirt is a blessing and it's on sale right now too!

(jacket on far right also from sheinside, you can find it here and well as my review here)

The last item from this haul is the denim jacket. I cut up my old denim jacket not long ago and needed a new, better one, which is why I chose this item.

I got this one in large because i like my coats and outerwear to fit looser. It's nice for when I want to wear more layers of clothing under it, but I like baggy jackets in general anyways.

I really love this jacket. The sweater part under the denim is removable - it's essentially a hooded vest made of super soft sweater material - so it's super versatile! The denim part is shorter and the sweater underneath is longer and I really like the look of them together, but the jacket and vest look great on their own as well. I know I'll get a lot of use out of this item.

So altogether I had another great experience with SheInside. All the items I've received have been great quality and very accurate to what is advertised.  Make sure to check out my new wishlist and other great items in the shop!

FAIRY Princess Violet Lenses from Pinkicon

Pinkicon recently contacted me asking if I'd like to try out some contacts to review and of course I said yes! I'd actually never heard of the company before, but after looking it up and seeing that it seemed pretty reliable, I was very excited to be working with them. I gave them my prescription and they handled the rest.

In the package I found 2 boxes of lenses, some pamplets and some cute business cards and instructions and such. There were pictures of lots of different lenses they offer as well as false lashes they sell. I personally enjoyed being able to look through these little booklets and seeing what sorts of lenses they carry. I'm always looking out for what style I want to try next so this was a nice addition.

What they sent me was 10 pairs of purple 1day lenses. I used to use daily ones when I first started using contacts a few years ago. I always thought it was more hygienic and safe than year long ones, of even monthly ones, though I'll use any.

The boxes were super cute. The brand I got was FAIRY, one I've never tried before. I have used purple lenses before though, and I do like having something to compare to.

As you can see they're not in the little bottles like I'm sure a lot of my fellow cosplayers are used to. This is the packaging regular prescription lenses come in.

On the left I have one lens in, no makeup. On the right, I have both in with my makeup on (I skipped falsies and mascara because I'm lazy oops)

I really like how these show up on my eyes! They're not so crazy bright purple like my other pair so they seem much more natural and would be wearable for casual day-to-day looks. They're also super comfortable, which would be partially thanks so the short term wear. After one day you can just toss them and start fresh and clean with the next!

Choies Black Eye Graffiti Print Hoodie Review

Another review from Choies!!!! Extra spooky just for October. I really didn't have much Halloween worthy clothing before I chose this beautifully gross eyeball sweater.

Nicely packaged in an extra zip locked bag as always! I can always rely on the product arriving in perfect condition when I receive items from Choies. When I  first took it out of the package it was so soft, and even softer on the inside! (it's actually been a while since I received the item oops hehe and it's been through the wash twice I believe, and it's still just as soft as when I opened it!) I was also very well sewn. No fraying seam, most of them were hidden or finished, and just an overall feel of quality.

The hood was a good size as well. Not too small but not so big that it sits funny. Just how I like it.

I wore this sweater as Rei Ayanami for the review because or her injured eye when she first appears onscreen. Not to mention all the weird body horror that goes on later....... BUT ANYWAYS, it looked adorable on - or as adorable as a cool nasty eye can be.

This is definitely one of my favourite items I've reviewed so far. It exceptionally soft and very nice quality, and it's also very unique. I've never seen a sweater quite like this before. I love the bright colours and the cool arm spike things that give the sweater a quirky, street fashion feel. I highly recommend this sweater (except at the same time I almost don't want to because I want to be the only one who has it.... hehe) and if the other sweaters are anything like this, I'd recommend those too. Fortunately, I have another sponsored sweater from Choies on the way right now, so I'll be able to tell you whether the quality is good in general or if this item was a rare gem!
Catch you next time! ;)

Nerdy Little Secrets Goodies Review

So I recently received my items from this cute Etsy shop! They specialize in pastel accessories like hair clips, jewelery, etc. The perfect collection for pastel goth, fairy kei, lolita, or other cute styles! I chose to review a choker and "gmr grl ;)" necklace! Here's the package:

I absolutely loved the handwritten note and business card included! It was a very nice, personal touch which I always enjoy. And even the bag that contained the items was cute! I'm really loving the sugar skulls and Day of the Dead theme going on right now so I'll be reusing this bag for sure haha.

Here's all the goodies! There's the Pastel Goth Moon Velvet Choker and Pastel Mini PlayStation Controller Necklace that I picked, as well as some extra gifts, two Small Pastel Goth Bone Hair Clips and this Lacey Pastel Brooch!

(Wearing velvet choker, my friend Destery wearing the mint bone clip!)

So first I want to talk about the Velvet Choker! I actually chose this one because I cosplay Rose Lalonde and I thought it would be really appropriate to wear as her!

Here's a close look. I love the pink chain at the back of the choker. It gives the piece more character. The little yellow charm is a very nice little addition too!

It looks so elegant and dainty on. It's a very minimal design which I really liked because when I'm wearing this, it's not meant to be the main focus. It draws attention to the neck without distracting too much from the face.

It's slimming and delicate and I'm absolutely taken with it. The velvet is so soft and the whole item is well crafted and light, you hardly notice you're wearing it at all! It even comes in a spider charm as well, in case you weren't a fan of the moon design.

The other main piece I got was the PlayStation necklace. I chose this one not only because of how cute it would look to wear as Nanami or Roxy, but also because I really am a playstation gamer at heart. It was probably my favourite console as a kid and I spent so many hours playing Bomberman and Crash Bandicoot... So it really is a throwback for me!

This pendant is honestly so cute and I really adore it! All the buttons are individually painted and base is solid but light.

I just ditched Nanami's pink ribbon and used the necklace instead. In fact, I firmly believe this is what she should have been wearing in the game. It's the perfect addition to this outfit.

This one is probably my favourite item of the bunch. I know I'm gonna get a ton of use from it, and it'll last too!

Finally we've got the bonus goodies!!! I was very happy to find these surprises and I'm already planning a full fairy kei outfit with them! They're the perfect accessories for the style and I'm glad I can add them to my collection! I especially love the bone clips but it's tough to see the pretty glitter in them from the pictures. They look much better in person, trust me!

(Wearing controller necklace and bone clip, my friend Courtney wearing a bone clip)

So as my first experience with Nerdy Little Secrets, I can 100% say I recommend the shop and that the items are not only cute but quality too.

Make sure you check out all the other cute items as well! There's so many adorable, unique items, and you can even request a custom order. I've already got a wishlist which you can check out below!

(Comes as individuals or in a full set!!!)

SheInside Black Hooded Coat Review

I'm finally able to do a review of one of my favourite stores, SheInside! I've been browsing the store for a long time now and my wishlist keeps growing just like their selection! The item I'm reviewing today is one that I've had my eye on for quite a while now. Since it's that time of year where we say goodbye to the sun and hello to cool, rainy weather, it's also time we change our wardrobes to match.

This is the picture advertised on the site:

And here's the one that came for me!

Obviously I'm not as skilled at making it look great on a hanger, but I was very happy with the likeness. In person it's darker and more true to black than these picture let on. It's also not that wrinkly, the lighting just makes it look like that. The shape is definitely intended to look better on your figure than sitting on a hanger though.

The quality of this jacket is very high as well! Sometimes when you order jackets like this online you get something thin and hastily made, but all of the seems inside are hidden the edges are clean and neat. It's definitely worth the price. (And it's on sale right now so it's a better deal than before!)

It fits so nicely on and sits in a very loose, casual, and comfortable way. It's really ideal and the perfect addition to my wardrobe. Since it's black with a grey interior, it goes with virtually everything too. It's everything I could ask for in a sporty, light coat.

One feature that I loved about this hoodie is that the zipper goes all the way to the top of the hood. Of course I'm not going to wear it like that, but i still think it's cute, and it's also looks really interesting as a trim on the hood.

(I'm wearing a Medium)

Overall, this coat is fantastic. The hood is large enough to cover my head well - I often find a lot of hoods are way to small or big to hang properly - and the sleeves are proportionate. As my first experience with SheInside, I'm extremely pleased. They've proven to be high quality, affordable, and fashionable. This item is a must have for the season and I'm glad I have mine just as the nice weather starts to fade.
